FAQ
Where do we meet?
If you’re staying at a hotel in central Kanazawa, I’ll come to meet you there. If you’re arriving by cruise ship and would like a pickup at Kanazawa Port, I can meet you there too — in that case a ¥3,000 transport fee (to cover my travel) is added. I’ll confirm the exact meeting point and send directions after booking.
How much walking is involved? Is it okay for seniors?
I keep a gentle pace and we can rest anytime. The routes are mostly easy, with a few gentle slopes, and guests of all ages are welcome.
Is it suitable for families with children?
Yes — families are very welcome, and I make sure everyone, including younger guests, feels comfortable and engaged.
I’m traveling solo. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Many guests join me on their own — it’s a relaxed, friendly way to see the city.
What languages do you speak?
English and Japanese. I’m happy to switch between the two.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain is part of Kanazawa’s charm, and tours run as planned. Only in severe weather (typhoon or heavy-snow warnings) will we reschedule or refund.
Can you accommodate dietary needs or allergies?
Please let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to arrange suitable options at the cafe or restaurant.
How and when do I pay?
Once we’ve agreed on a date, payment is made online (credit card, PayPal, or Wise) to hold your day.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 30 days before the tour. Please see the Cancellation & Booking Policy for full details.
What should I bring or wear?
Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing — and an umbrella if rain is likely.
Can the tour be customized?
Yes. Every tour is tailored to your interests — just tell me what you’d love to see, including hidden local spots.
